Lake Oconee Academy is a public charter school serving residents of Greene County. Therefore, there are no tuition or fees, save those required for extracurricular activities, if applicable. LOA does not discriminate against any student on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender or disability. Students are not selected on the basis of ability. LOA is a public, nonsectarian, nonreligious, nonprofit school organized and operated under Georgia State laws.
LOA began accepting 2015-16 school year applications for grades Pre-K4 - 10th on September 1, 2014. The application period closed on March 20, 2015 and a lottery was held on April 17, 2015. While the application period for the 2015-16 school year closed March 20, 2015, you may continue to submit applications for the 2015-16 school year. LOA is always accepting applications. The waiting list established at the 2015-16 admissions lottery and any applications received after the March 20 deadline will expire when the new application window opens September 1, 2015. Students will need to reapply on or after September 1, 2015, if they are still interested in admission.
Applications for 2nd grade and above that are received without the required records will not be processed.
Those seeking enrollment should complete an application. An application is required for each potential student.
Applicants will be contacted when the application is received and processed. Please allow at least three weeks from the submission date for the application to be processed. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 706.454.1562.
