Lake Oconee Academy

Lake Oconee Academy is located on Carey Station Road southeast of the intersection of Carey Station Road and West Lake Road.  Phase 1 construction for Lake Oconee Academy is being bid to the public via three major bidding packages:

1)  Site Improvements

2)  Building Construction

3)  Landscape & Hardscape

 

Phase 1 Site Improvements:

Phase 1 Site Improvements includes timbering, clearing, grubbing, earthwork, erosion control and site stabilization, concrete and asphalt paving, storm drainage, water and sewer on a 23.5-acre site. The bulk of this site improvement package has been completed.

Phase 1 Building Construction

The Phase 1 building construction consists of 4 buildings totaling 70,000 SF that will serve pre-k thru grade 5.  The buildings are currently under construction.

Phase 1 Landscape and Hardscape

The Scope of Work for the Phase 1 Landscape and Hardscape package includes finish grading, landscaping, irrigation, drainage, modular and stone clad decorative retaining walls, decorative concrete sidewalks and steps, playground construction, site lighting, wood deck construction, decorative guardrails, fencing, site furnishings, site signage, and the construction of a small equipment storage / trash enclosure building.  Qualified contractors interested in bidding on this Landscape and Hardscape package should review the bid Notice: Notice of Request for Bids LOA Landscape and Hardscape.pdf, bidding instructions file: Landscape and Hardscape Bidding Instructions.pdf and complete the bidder pre-qualification form: Lake Oconee Phase 1 Landscape and Hardscape Bidder Pre-qualification Form.pdf and the Contractor Pre-quaification Statement AIA form A305.pdf.

The two prequalification forms must be emailed to Dale Kays at Linger Longer Development: dale_kays@reynoldsplantation.com. Once the forms are reviewed and the information verified, a sharefile link will be sent to the pre-qualified bidder that will provide electronic access to the complete bidding documents.

Bid date for the Phase 1 Landscape and Hardscape is January 20, 2010.  A mandatory Pre-bid Meeting is set for 2:00 PM, January 7 at the Linger Longer Development office at 1000 Vista Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642.  Bids from contractors who have not completed the pre-qualification steps will not be accepted.

 

Furniture Packages

Two furniture packages for Lake Oconee Academy are being bid at this time to the public. They include Classroom furniture and Administrative and Specialty furniture.  Interested bidders should review the following bidder instructions prior to making a decision to bid either of these packages.
