LOA has a highly active parent community that contributes its time, talent and treasures to enrich the academic experience of every LOA student.

A. Every parent or guardian of a student enrolled in Lake Oconee Academy is a member of the Parent Association and shall have individual voting rights.
B. Every full or part-time teacher or administrator at Lake Oconee Academy is a non-voting member of the Parent Association. Every full or part-time teacher or administrator at Lake Oconee Academy who is also a parent shall have individual voting rights
The LOA Parent Association is organized for the purpose of:
A. Supporting the education of children at Lake Oconee Academy.
B. Promoting the general welfare of Lake Oconee Academy.
C. Disseminating pertinent information to the entire parent body and serving as an advocate of all children of Lake Oconee Academy.
D. Fostering closer working relationships among school, parents, faculty and the Board of Governors.
E. Providing a forum for the sharing of ideas that will benefit Lake Oconee Academy.
F. Mobilizing support for the Annual Giving Fund, fundraising projects, and other special development efforts of Lake Oconee Academy.
G. Supporting the faculty and administration of Lake Oconee Academy by serving as tutors, coaches, mentors and chaperones, and by welcoming guests to the campus.
H. Supporting the efforts of Lake Oconee Academy to engage parents in the education of their children
I. The Parent Association will not take an official position on any material issue until it has been authorized by the general body of the Parent Association through its voting process and assures that it follows the vision and mission of Lake Oconee Academy as stated in the “Charter” and interpreted and communicated by the Lake Oconee Academy Board of Governors or their designee.
