Titan Tech
MISSION
Titan Tech is an after-school childcare program for Pre-K through 12th grade students at Lake Oconee Academy. The mission of the program is to provide a fun, encouraging environment for students who participate, with an emphasis on homework completion, physical activity, and enrichment opportunities.
NEW LOCation
The Titan Tech office and checkout location have moved to the 400 building adjacent to the upper playground and the football field (use the Lower School Gym parking lot).
DAYS/HOURS
Titan Tech is available 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, except on teacher workdays, holidays, early-release days, inclement weather days, and summer break.
There is no need to register. All scheduling will now take place on your child’s calendar in the PikMy Kid app.
There is no Titan Tech on the Friday before a week-long holiday break.
DAILY SCHEDULE
Monday through Thursday
2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Check-in, snack, and recreation
3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Homework
Enrichment Time will take place upon completion of homework
Fun Fridays
2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Check-in, snack, and recreation
3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Special recreation and enrichment activities
**Students will need to bring their own peanut-free snack. Please send a snack and label it "Titan Tech."
HOMEWORK TIME
Students will be able to work on their assignments in a quiet, structured, supervised environment with as much assistance as possible. Parents/Guardians should take the time to check their child’s agenda and homework each night to ensure effective communication with their child’s teacher.
Behavior policy
Titan Tech is independent of the charter program and therefore has its own behavior policy. Minor classroom infractions during Titan Tech will be addressed by the Titan Tech teacher and referred to the Director if the offense becomes repetitive.
Major infractions are immediately referred to the Director. Major infractions include, but are not limited to, disrespect for authority, fighting, bullying, theft, destruction of property, and elopement from the classroom.
TUITION
Full-time or part-time
$12 day per child
Students will only be charged for days scheduled.
All permanent schedules for Titan Tech should be entered in your child’s calendar in PikMyKid.
DROP IN
All after-school schedules and transportation changes are managed in PikMyKid. If a change has not been submitted prior to 2:00 p.m., the student will be directed to carline or Titan Tech, whichever is normal operation.
If a student is not picked up in carline, he/she will be admitted to Titan Tech and charged a fee of $3 in addition to the $12 daily tuition.
PAYMENT
Invoices will be issued via email at the end of each month. Payments can be made via cash, check or credit card. Invoices not paid by the indicated due date will incur a $25 late payment fee and suspension from the program.
LATE FEES
Late Payment: $25
Late Pickup (after 5:30 p.m.): $5 for the first five minutes or any portion thereof plus $1/minute for each minute thereafter per child.
