Lake Oconee Academy welcomed students from across Greene County hosting the Probe College Fair on September 29. Over 42 colleges and two branches of the U.S. military lined the campus’ Titan Center, giving high school students a unique opportunity to explore their futures, ask questions and connect with representatives.
At its September 8th Board of Governors meeting, Lake Oconee Academy proudly recognized three exceptional educators as Cornerstone Teachers: Dr. Eric Johnson, Dr. Jessica Teal and Ms. Kristen Marchiando.
The ONE Titan spirit was alive and strong as Lake Oconee Academy kicked off its first varsity home football game with the annual Titan Tailgate. A welcomed tradition by students, families and alumni, more than 250 people joined in on the free Friday night celebration.
Lake Oconee Academy’s youngest Titans had a big week of learning, discovery and excitement as they celebrated Community Helper Week. For five days, Pre-K students gained a better understanding of the important roles people play in making our community safe, healthy and thrive.
The Lake Oconee Academy Varsity Basketball Cheerleaders recently partnered with the Greene County Recreation Department to spend an evening leading a special practice with the GCRD cheer squads. The event was filled with spirit, smiles and community connection as LOA cheerleaders mentored younger athletes and shared their love for the sport.
Lake Oconee Academy’s counseling team recently hosted the annual “New to LOA” Student Information Sessions, giving our newest Titans a warm introduction to life on campus. Designed to help students feel at home, the sessions included opportunities to learn about LOA’s culture, meet key staff members, and start building friendships that will carry them into the new school year.
Lake Oconee Academy celebrates two alumni now serving as staff members. Both young men exemplify what ONE Titan means when it is lived out daily on our campus.
