2 students in titan center

Lake Oconee Academy was filled with familiar smiles, laughter and meaningful reunions on Thursday, December 19, as the school proudly hosted Alumni Night on campus. Former students returned to the Titan Center to reconnect with classmates, teachers and the school community.

Held in conjunction with varsity basketball games, Alumni Night offered graduates the opportunity to gather, catch up and reflect on their time at LOA. From hugs in the commons to conversations over food and fellowship, the evening was a reminder that the Titan family extends far beyond graduation day. Longtime LOA teacher Lindsey Chamberlain reflected on the significance of the evening, sharing, “One of the most meaningful parts of teaching is reconnecting with our incredible alumni. Alumni nights make that possible, bringing us back together on campus where it all began. The evening was filled with laughter, memories and renewed connections, and a reminder of why we do what we do. I’m looking forward to our next opportunity to reconnect!”

Throughout the evening, alumni shared stories of their current paths while reminiscing about classrooms, teachers and traditions that continue to define LOA. Teachers and staff were thrilled to welcome back students they once taught and mentored, making the evening especially meaningful for all.

Many alumni also had the opportunity to see campus spaces that were not part of LOA during their time as students. From new classrooms to expanded facilities, the growth of the campus served as a powerful reminder of how far the school has come.

The event highlighted LOA’s commitment to fostering lifelong connections and a strong sense of community. As alumni cheered on the current Titans and shared memories of their own time in the stands, the evening became a celebration of continuity, pride and belonging.

Lake Oconee Academy looks forward to continuing this tradition and welcoming alumni back to campus for many years to come. No matter where life takes them, Titans always have a place at LOA: Once a Titan, always a Titan!
