Lake Oconee Academy has solidified its place among Georgia's premier athletic programs, capturing the 2025-2026 Georgia Athletic Directors Association (GADA) Director's Cup Championship for Class 1A Division II. The honor marks the Titans' fourth consecutive Director's Cup title, an extraordinary achievement that reflects sustained success across the school's entire athletic program.

Unlike a state championship that recognizes a single sport, the Georgia Athletic Directors Association Director's Cup honors the collective success of an entire athletic department. Schools earn points through postseason performances in GHSA-sanctioned sports, making the Director's Cup one of the highest honors a high school athletic program can achieve in Georgia.

Lake Oconee Academy has claimed the Class 1A Division II Director's Cup in each of the past four years (2022-2023 through 2025-2026), establishing the Titans as one of Georgia's most consistently successful athletic programs.

"This award represents so much more than wins and losses," said former Athletic Director Chris Ingle. "When I first became Athletic Director at LOA, we had just 32 ninth-grade students and our athletic seasons ended with more losses than wins. Looking at where our program is today, I could never have imagined this level of success. This recognition reflects the commitment of our student-athletes, the dedication of all our coaches, the support of our families, and the culture of excellence that defines Lake Oconee Academy. I couldn't be prouder of what our entire ONE Titan community has accomplished together."

The Director's Cup reflects the combined efforts of every Titan team, with athletes and coaches contributing to the school's overall point total through postseason appearances. From the playing fields and courts to the golf course and beyond, every program contributes to this statewide recognition.

With the 2026-2027 school year underway, new Athletic Director Patrick Croffie will build upon the foundation established during the Titans' four-year championship run. "To inherit an athletic program with this level of sustained excellence is both an honor and a responsibility," said Croffie. "I'm excited to continue building that tradition while fostering programs where relationships, character, and kindness are just as important as competition. When we develop great people, success naturally follows."

CEO Dr. Brad Bowling praised the accomplishment as a reflection of the school's mission to develop students both in and out of the classroom.
