Lake Oconee Academy students and families came together in a meaningful way on March 27, during “Jeans Day for a Cause,” raising a total of $1,100 to support the school’s Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Big Impact Project.
The initiative invited students across all grade levels to participate by donating $5 in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans with their spirit shirts. Funds were collected during morning carline and at campus entrances, with participating students receiving wristbands to signify their support.
The event served as more than just a fun dress-down day—it provided students with a hands-on opportunity to engage in service and leadership while supporting a cause that reflects the values of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy program.
“This project helps students see the real impact they can make when they come together to serve others,” said Logan Faust, Chick-fil-A Leader Academy advisor. “We are so proud of their leadership and the support from our school community.”
The funds raised will directly support the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy’s Big Impact Project, an initiative focused on student-led service and community engagement to bring together the youth of LOA and Greene County Schools. Lake Oconee Academy continues to prioritize opportunities that empower students to lead with purpose, give back to their community, and make a positive difference through one meaningful action at a time.
