Celebrating Excellence at LOA! 💛At the last LOA Board of Governors meeting, we proudly recognized four outstanding students and one exceptional teacher for their achievements in academics, leadership and service.
🏅 Shelby Marullo was honored for being the first student in Greene County nominated for the Governor’s Honors Program in mathematics.
🎓 Ava Shurling, Abigail Angle and Kensley Windham were recognized for their remarkable success as Dual Enrollment students at the University of Georgia.
☕ Mrs. Sheryl Harris received the Cornerstone Teacher Award for her work leading Java of the Titans, helping students gain real-world skills through a program that’s making a positive impact across campus.
These honorees represent the heart of LOA - Citizenship, Scholarship, and Community and the Titan spirit that unites us all. 💙💛





Exciting News for Our Middle School Titans! ✨📚 Our 6th–8th grade hallway just got a major upgrade. These once-empty shelves are now filled with amazing books ready to be checked out and read! 💫A huge shoutout to our dedicated teachers, staff and students who helped bring this project to life. Thanks to everyone’s teamwork, Titans now have even more opportunities to discover new stories, learn and grow. 💛💙Happy reading, Titans — your next great adventure is waiting on these shelves! 📖💫

A Gift of Words! 💛📚 A big thank you to Mary from the Elks Lodge for visiting our 3rd graders and gifting each student their very own dictionary! Students were so excited to flip through the pages and explore new words. We’re grateful for our community partners who inspire a love of learning and support our Titans in growing their knowledge one word at a time. 💙💛

LOA DECA in Action 🌟 💛 Our DECA members rolled up their sleeves and volunteered with the Second Harvest Food Distribution. From serving families to lending a helping hand wherever needed, these students showed what it means to be leaders who give back to their community. We are so proud of their commitment to service and the positive impact they continue to make beyond the classroom. 👏

STEM in Action at LOA! ✨🧩 Our Titans are putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test! From building apple structures to designing LEGO masterpieces, students are learning the power of teamwork, innovation and imagination. 🍎🔬 Hands-on learning helps bring concepts to life — and there’s no better way to explore science, technology, engineering and math than through a little fun and collaboration! 💙💛
Pre-K Celebrates the 50th Day of School — 1950s Style! 💿🎶 Our Pre-K Titans rocked around the clock as they marked the 50th day of school with a fabulous ’50s Day Celebration! From poodle skirts and leather jackets to shag dancing, popcorn at the drive-in movie theater and a soda bar taste test 🍿🥤 it was a FULL day of learning and fun for our littlest Titans! 🔍 Science Meets Real-World Investigation! LOA Forensic Science students stepped into the shoes of real investigators this week as the Greene County Sheriff’s Office led a hands-on fingerprint lab in Mrs. Nolley’s class. 🕵️♀️💡 Students learned how evidence is collected, analyzed, and used to solve cases — and even got to try it themselves!
Beautiful Days at LOA! ☀️ Last week’s sunshine and perfect fall weather made it hard to stay indoors! Our Titans have loved spending time outside, soaking up the fresh air, playing with friends and enjoying our beautiful campus. 💛💙 Here’s to more bright days and happy moments ahead! 🌿✨
Thank you to all our students, families and staff who made this year’s Scholastic Book Fair such a huge success! From discovering new adventures between the pages to shopping with friends and family, it was a week filled with excitement and a shared love of reading. 💙💛 A big thank-you to our amazing volunteers and media center team for creating such a wonderful experience for everyone!
Pumpkin Party Fun! ✨🎃What a spooktacular night at our Pumpkin Party! Families and friends gathered in the Titan Center to carve, craft and create some amazing pumpkin masterpieces. From face painting and fall treats to the Pumpkin Decorating Contest sponsored by LOA SGA, it was an evening full of creativity and Titan spirit! Thank you to everyone who joined the fun and helped make this festive event such a success. We loved celebrating fall with our Titan family! 🍂🕸️

Our Titan family welcomed children’s author Ada Ari for a special visit with PreK–3rd grade students. ✨ Ada Ari inspired a love of reading while sharing cultural traditions and imagination with young learners. Through storytelling & dance these Titans sure did learn a lot about our world.
🌟 Student Spotlight: Wreese Cannon 🌟 Meet Wreese Cannon, an 11th grader who has been part of the LOA family since Pre-K! 💙 Her favorite class is History, she loves learning about the stories that shaped our world. Outside the classroom, you’ll find Wreese on the court or the field she’s passionate about basketball and soccer, and says her favorite part of school is being part of the teams she loves. ⚽🏀 We’re so proud of Wreese and the dedication, teamwork and Titan spirit she brings to everything she does! 💛

¡Qué noche tan especial! 🎉 Our Titan family came together for the 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration, honoring culture, music, food and community. 💃🏽 Thank you to everyone who helped make the night a success.
